Bard on the Beach is a Shakespeare festival in Vancouver. Over the summer they put on a series of Shakespeare’s plays on the waterfront in Vanier Park. The organization aims to make these classic plays accessible to everyone. One of their goals is to get children and young adults more interested in literature and plays.

The branding of Bard on the Beach’s 2015 summer play series is fun, upbeat, and light hearted. This is shown through comical illustrations of what Shakespeare (nicknamed ‘The Bard’) would look like on the beach. The illustrations are done as messy sketches with pops of bright colour, and a colourful beach ball was used as a recurring element.
